Ear Rings by Mike Cotter
As I walked along the river bank, my fly rod in hand
I saw a fellow fisherman his rod lay on the ground,
He held hid head in anguish, his mouth was all agape,
He's lost a real big fish, thought I
To make him act this way
As I approached this tragic Scene
The reason came quite clear
He had a Royal Coachman embedded in his ear.
I offered my assistance, he gratefully said "Please"
And so between the two of us the hook came out with ease.
He thanked me and off I went along the river side
And then I heard a mighty roar,
*#*&$; Oh not again *#*&$: he cried
He's impailed himself again I thought as I turned around again
He really love's fly fishing to go through all that pain.
So next time your in a fly shop and an earring you espy,
Go take a closer look, prepare to be suprised
It may not be the latest from Paris or whatever,
but instead, a Muddler Minnow without the fur and feather.
